A set of more serious Smiley Face discussions...

Horror movies for Smiley Faces...
OK, this first one isn't too serious. This is the first Smiley Face picture I did, and it was inspired partly by memories of watching late Friday night monster and/or SF classics with my mom. Those same SF classics also inspired the title "Smiley Faces from Outer Space"; which is a spoof on the old 50's SF invasion movies.

Office Space - with Smiley Faces and Packman!
Remember the video game? Here is a version of Packman in Office Space setting enacted by Smiley Faces... |

Smiley Eden
Oops, some non-serious ones are appearing... Smiley Faces must have come from an eden to be so innocent and naive! |
Smiley Clouds
Everything in life is only gloomy if we see it that way... |

Smiley atomic theory
Inspired by a chemistry professor I had who said the nobel gasses on the periodic chart (those with enough electrons to be stable) are the happy ones. NOTE: many liberties taken with actual atomic theory. |
Abuse corrups
Happy people are not corrupted... |

Offense - optional
I have heard that the phrase "you made me mad" is incorrect because we should take responsibility for our own emotions instead of putting the cause with others (or at least that is what I try to tell myself)... |
Personal Boundaries displayed with Smiley Faces
My Smiley Faces demonstrate a 3D version of the personal boundaries theory in the self help book "How the Tortuse and Hare Quit the Rat Race" by Paul Dobransky (sp). |

Tolerance
Expecting others to be like us seems to be human nature. As much as I dislike it in others, I expressed 1 side of the intolerance shown in the middle 2 panels (expecting everyone to have seen Star Wars). We can all use reminders that it's OK for others to be different from us. |
Relative Reality
It is one's perception of reality that determines out behavior and emotions, not actual reality... |
